Service Description
The Shabbat Show: A Jewish Theatrical Adventure The Shabbat Show is a children’s musical theater experience where a group of 8-10 children ages 5-8 meet weekly to learn together and co-create plays based on Jewish stories. With guidance from professional artists and educators, the troupe will explore Jewish traditions that have been passed through the generations and experiment with theatrical improv to create an original telling, setting their lyrics to famous Operatic, Symphonic, and Musical Theater hit tunes – often with a very comedic effect! The learning experience culminates in a ‘World Premiere’ performance and celebration at Wine Down Shabbat, where the troupe shares its show with family and community. Session Times & Dates: Drop-off classes take place weekly, with three performances inspired by the Jewish holidays. Semester includes 12 drop-off classes (including final rehearsals) + 2 shows.
